Purpose
The Impact and Learning Coordinator will support the implementation, evaluation, and ongoing development of community-based programs at BIPOC USHR. This role is vital to strengthening how the organization tracks impact, learns from community engagement, and translates that learning into improved programs and resources.
The role focuses on ensuring that community voices, experiences, and outcomes are meaningfully captured and reflected in reporting, program design, and knowledge sharing.
The role encompasses three core areas of responsibility:
Program Evaluation and Impact Tracking (40%)
Community-Based Learning and Data Collection (35%)
Knowledge Mobilization and Reporting (25%)

Primary Responsibilities
- Program Evaluation and Impact Tracking (40%)
Develop and maintain systems for tracking program outcomes and community impact. Support the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data across programs. Work with staff to ensure consistent and meaningful evaluation practices are embedded in program delivery. Support the development of indicators and tools that reflect community-defined success. - Community-Based Learning and Data Collection (35%)
Engage with community members, program participants, and partners to gather insights and feedback. Support interviews, surveys, and informal feedback processes. Ensure all data collection is conducted in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and ethical manner. Identify trends and themes that can inform program improvements and organizational strategy. - Knowledge Mobilization and Reporting (25%)
Translate findings into reports, summaries, and accessible tools for community and funders. Support grant reporting and impact storytelling. Develop materials that share learnings in ways that are useful to community members, partners, and stakeholders. Contribute to presentations, briefs, and other knowledge-sharing activities.
General Responsibilities
Support project timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements. Maintain organized documentation of evaluation and learning activities. Collaborate with staff to align evaluation with program goals. Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational learning. Engage in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Education: Degree or diploma in social sciences, humanities, or equivalent lived and professional experience.

Purpose
The Research Coordinator will lead a community based research project focused on gender based violence in Prince Edward Island. This role is vital to advancing BIPOC USHR’s mission of creating braver spaces where BIPOC communities are engaged, supported, and their voices amplified. The role will focus on generating knowledge that strengthens prevention, improves access to services, and supports community driven solutions. The role encompasses three core areas of responsibility:
- Youth Knowledge and Intergenerational Learning Research (40%)
- System Navigation and Referral Pathway Research (35%)
- Knowledge Mobilization and Resource Development (25%)
Primary Responsibilities
- Youth Knowledge and Intergenerational Learning Research (40%) Design and implement research activities that explore youth knowledge of consent, healthy relationships, and gender based violence. Conduct focus groups and interviews with youth, parents, caregivers, and youth serving organizations. Explore how knowledge is shared across generations and how youth act as knowledge bridges within families and communities. Ensure research activities are conducted in a trauma informed, culturally responsive, and ethical manner. Analyze qualitative data and identify key themes related to youth knowledge and intergenerational learning.
- System Navigation and Referral Pathway Research (35%)
Conduct interviews and consultations with community organizations, settlement agencies, and gender based violence service providers. Map existing referral pathways and identify barriers to accessing services. Examine how individuals navigate support systems and where breakdowns in coordination occur. Build and maintain relationships with frontline organizations across Prince Edward Island. Support the identification of opportunities to strengthen coordination and navigation supports. - Knowledge Mobilization and Resource Development (25%)
Translate research findings into practical tools and resources for youth and youth serving organizations. Support the development of youth discussion guides on consent and healthy relationships. Develop navigation resources that outline how to access gender based violence supports. Coordinate translation and design of knowledge products to ensure accessibility. Organize and support stakeholder engagement sessions and knowledge sharing activities.
Key competencies for this role include community based research, facilitation, cultural competency, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while building meaningful relationships.
General Responsibilities
Plan and manage project timelines, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
Support research ethics approval processes and maintain compliance with ethical standards. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of research activities and findings. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge. Collaborate with the BIPOC USHR team to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
Qualifications
Education:
Degree or diploma in social sciences, human services, or related fields such as psychology, sociology, anthropology, or political science, or equivalent work experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Experience in community based or qualitative research.
- Experience working with youth and or racialized communities.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Experience with data analysis and report writing.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, Excel, and relevant research or design tools.
- Strong experience managing and tracking budget.
Additional Requirements:
